Magna Voce Interpreter Education was founded in 2014 with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, accessible professional development for interpreters working in court, medical, and community settings. The name "Magna Voce," meaning "with a great voice" in Latin, reflects our commitment to empowering interpreters to perform their essential role with skill, accuracy, and confidence.
Our Story
Magna Voce grew from the recognition that many bilingual professionals entering the interpretation field lacked access to structured, practical training. While academic programs in translation and interpretation exist, they are not always accessible to working professionals who need to develop skills while managing careers and family obligations.
Our founders, experienced court and medical interpreters themselves, designed a curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with the intensive practice that interpretation demands. Starting with in-person workshops, Magna Voce expanded to online delivery, allowing interpreters across the United States and internationally to access professional training from any location.

We believe that interpretation is both an art and a discipline. It requires:
